University debuts 'texting lane' for students on their phones

We've all been there.

You're walking down the street or maybe up a flight of stairs. And you're stuck behind someone who's looking down at their phone -- texting, talking, whatever.

Well, one college in Utah came up with an idea: a texting-only lane.

Utah Valley University says this is a particularly busy staircase at the Student Life and Wellness Center.

UVU Marketing designed the three separate lanes -- walk, run and text -- which were installed on June 7.

It's unclear if anyone actually follows the markings, but it is a clever idea.
