Police stop erratic driver, discover 9-year-old boy behind the wheel

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — The driver stopped by Pocatello police had reportedly run stop signs and was driving erratically. He was also 9 years old.

The Idaho State Journal reports that the boy was returned to his parents Friday morning after police caught him out driving a second time.

A man called police after he spotted someone driving erratically. The witness first thought the other driver was drunk but when he slowed down and let the car pass, he noticed a child was driving. The man followed the boy as he drove several blocks, reportedly running red lights and stop signs.

Police were able to locate the child and pull him over. He was released to his parents.
