Activists chain themselves to car, oil barrels in latest protest at port (PHOTOS)

SEATTLE -- A group of about 50 activists protesting Shell's Polar Pioneer oil rig at the Port of Seattle chained themselves to each other, oil barrels and even a car Tuesday morning.

The activists said they hope to disrupt work at the port and the 400-foot long oil rig, docked in Seattle for the summer before it moves into the arctic for exploratory drilling.

Police were at the port watching the protests.

Officers have not attempted to move the protesters. Tuesday marks five straight days of protests at the port.

"I want to save the arctic for my children," one protester, whose arm was chained to another protester's, said.
