Witness helps capture cell phone robbers who targeted 15-year-old girl

SEATTLE (AP) — Two men are under arrest for stealing a cell phone from a 15-year-old girl while waiting to catch a bus in a Beacon Hill neighborhood.

Seattle police say the girl was listing to music on her phone at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday when two men began pacing around her.

One man snatched her phone and ran away. A good Samaritan nearby chased the two men down the street. He continued pursuing them as police arrived. Officers quickly caught up to the man and one suspect.

Soon after, officers and a K-9 team took the second suspect into custody and recovered the girl's phone.

A 17-year-old was booked into the King County Youth Service Center and the 18-year-old was taken to jail.
