Ouch... McDonald's drive-thru proposal horribly backfires (VIDEO)

LOS ANGELES -- Oosh. She's obviously not "Loving It."

A Los Angeles man didn't get quite the reaction he was hoping for when he asked his girlfriend of two years to marry him recently.

YouTube user Joseph Ann said he had joked for years about proposing to his girlfriend at McDonald's. But when he finally decided to pull the trigger, it didn't go as planned.

After going through the drive-thru Ann prods his girlfriend to check out her sandwich. She opens the sandwich box and laughs... for a moment. Soon, laughter turns to a small outburst.

“Will you marry me?” he asks, trying to put the ring on his finger.

More shocked laughter ensues.

“You’re not serious!” she says in disbelief. “You didn’t… you can’t do this! This is not what you do!”

Still in disbelief, she stares at the sandwich box and awkward laughs and glances ensue.

“You can’t ask me to marry you on a chicken sandwich!”

Ultimately, the couple didn't get married. Here's what Ann had to say on YouTube.

I met my girlfriend 2 years ago in LA. I've never been good at planning in advance which is why we wound up ending our first date at this exact McDonalds. She joked for months about how 10 years down the road I would probably propose to her in a chicken nugget box so I thought she would love when I surprised her this way. She didn't love it like the way I thought she would. We agreed to wait longer until it's time to get engaged.
