MAPLE FALLS, Wash. -- Whatcom County sheriff's deputies are asking for help finding this white pick-up truck and several suspects in a shooting Sunday in the 8400 block of Cimarron Way in Maple Falls.

A 33-year-old man was shot in the leg upon being approached on foot by a subject who came to the scene in the white pickup truck, according to sheriff Bill Elfo. The truck had pulled up to a driveway near where the victim was working on a boat with another person.

The victim survived and was treated at St. Joseph’s Hospital and released.

Several witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a white 2002-2009 Dodge pickup. The truck is possibly a two-wheel drive with aftermarket rims or wheels.

Investigators say there were two occupants in the truck.

The driver was described as a man with dark complexion and large in stature.

The passenger is described as a younger man, probably in early 20’s “looking like a kid”. He was well-groomed with a hair style shaved on the sides of his head and longer on top. He is 5-07 to 5-09 tall, 150-160 pounds and also dark complexion.

The passenger was the one who exited the truck and fired several shots at the victim and then immediately left the scene in the truck.

The vehicle photos were obtained from a nearby surveillance camera system.
