TMZ: Rapper Lil Wayne starts fight at 'Stop the Violence' charity basketball game (VIDEO)



ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- An event allegedly aimed at stopping the spread of violence took a violent turn Sunday night, TMZ reports, with prominent rapper Lil Wayne allegedly in the middle of a large fracas.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne was at a charity basketball game in St. Louis in an effort to stop the spread of violence in youth.

Wayne and his "Young Money" team allegedly thought the referee at the event wasn't calling the game fairly. Wayne quickly runs out onto the court, and video allegedly shows Wayne spitting on the referee and being held back by his teammates as the ref runs into the crowd.

No one was arrested at the event, TMZ reports.

Event promoter Loose Cannon Slim was allegedly not available for comment.
