Student's baby starts to cry in class, Professor's reaction prompts 'love letters'

JERUSALEM, Israel --  College Professor Sydney Engelberg reportedly encourages his students to bring their children to class.

Recently an unnamed student, a new mom, did just that.

Then when her baby started to cry she tried to stand up and leave the class at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

But according to Engelberg's daughter her father stopped the woman and took the baby into his arms.

"To soothe the baby himself," she wrote on Facebook.

Engleberg then nonchalantly continued the rest of his lecture with baby in arm.

The photo of Engelberg teaching went wildly viral after someone posted it to reddit.

From Yahoo:

“He’s gotten love letters,” the professor’s very amused wife, Fredi Siskind Engelberg, tells Yahoo Parenting, noting that he’s been getting nonstop calls from radio and TV stations. “He’s pretty blasé about it, and we just find it all very funny. I think it must have happened on a no-news day.”

So what exactly was the topic of Engelber's lecture that day?

"The course-organizational behavior," wrote his daughter.  "That's what I call "organizational behavior!" Show me another run like that.  Because my father is the best in the world."
