TACOMA -- This is the best part of the job; honoring people in our community for the positive work they do! This morning, we honored Mr. Dana for Teacher Appreciation Week!

Mr. Dana teaches 4th grade at Tacoma's McCarver Elementary School. One of his parents/students nominated him:

"I would like to nominate Mr. Dana because he always goes above and beyond for his students. He even took the time out to come to my daughter's jiu-jitsu competition. He is funny, caring, and passionate about his work. He is the best teacher in the world; we would just like him to know we appreciate him!"

Mr. Dana received some fabulous gifts in honor of his win: gift cards from Macy's, Walmart, and Seattle Premium Outlets; as well as doughnuts for his entire class from Cupcake Royale's Rodeo Donut!
