Deputies: Man offered flask to 14-year-old boy in luring attempt

GRAHAM -- Sheriff's deputies are looking for man who allegedly offered a teen boy alcohol to get into a car in what officers are calling a possible luring attempt.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, the boy was walking on 200th Street near 110th Avenue  around 5 p.m. Friday when a man driving a red four-door sedan pulled alongside the boy. The man allegedly offered the boy a ride. When the boy refused, the man reportedly held out a flask and offered the boy alcohol to get in the car.

The boy again said no, and the man reached out to "fist bump" the boy, deputies said. He then drove away and the boy ran home.

The boy told his parents, who called police. The boy told deputies he'd never seen the man or the vehilce before.

The man was described in his early 20s with a thin build, wearing sunglasses, a backwards cap and red curly hair that stuck out under his cap.

A neighborhood group reported the man has been observed in the neighborhood before.
