Royal baby: Name revealed of new English princess

LONDON -- The newest royal member has a new name.

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is the name of the baby born May 2 to the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Kensington Palace announced Monday. She is fourth in line to the British throne.

Charlotte was born at 8:34 BST, the BBC reports, and weighed 8 pounds 3oz. She is the younger brother of 1-and-a-half year old Prince George.

The name seems a bit of an homage to both the child's great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and her late grandmother Diana, Princess of Wales.

A day after Charlotte was born, she already received a number of visitors. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, stopped by, E Online.com reported.
