Police searching for 19-year-old who escaped from juvenile detention

CHEHALIS -- Police are searching for a 19-year-old who escaped from a juvenile detention center by climbing through a hole in the fence.

Around 9 p.m. on May 3, Dominic A. Adams ran from staff during a maintenance detail at Green Hill School in Chehalis, police said. A short time later, detention staff determined he had made it off campus, likely through a hole he cut in a campus fence.

Another staff member at the detention center reported hearing a horn honking around the time of escape, police said, and an older red car was spotted driving away. It is believed the car may be associated with Adams' escape.

Anyone who has information on Adams is encouraged to call 360-740-1105, police said.
