MUST WATCH: Teacher Appreciation Week kicks off with a bang!

SNOQUALMIE -- Teacher Appreciation Week is off and running, with our first surprise of the week: Jennifer Dwight, who teaches third grade at Snoqualmie Elementary School in Snoqualmie!

We took YOUR nominations for your favorite teachers all over the Puget Sound area, and narrowed it down to five; one to be honored each day this week with a surprise LIVE on our air during our morning show! Each teacher receives a beauty gift basket from Macy's; doughnuts for the entire class from Rodeo Donut (a pop-up shop from Cupcake Royale); and a $100 gift card from Walmart (many teachers end up paying for classroom supplies out of their own pocket!).

Viewer Judy Lamson nominated Mrs. Dwight:

"I would like to nominate Jennifer Dwight, first year of teaching at age 43, after raising her 4 children. She shows great compassion and caring; her students love her. One mother told me her son had a difficult year and didn't want to go to school last year. This year, he can't wait for school to start! He's having a great year- he loves Mrs. Dwight."

Watch Q13 FOX News This Morning all week long to see where we'll go next- we could be surprising a local teacher live on the air-- in YOUR neighborhood!

Remember to thank your teachers; and thanks to all of you for your nominations! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
