Small plane reported missing on flight from Oregon to Washington

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Civil Air Patrol says it will be increasing its efforts to find a single-engine plane reported missing on a flight from Creswell, Oregon, to Vancouver, Washington.

Civil Air Patrol Lt. Col. Thomas Traver says the pilot of the Piper PA-28 Cherokee is believed to be the only person on board.

The patrol says the plane left Creswell, south of Eugene, late Tuesday afternoon.

Three aircraft and 15 people were involved in the search on Wednesday.
