BONNEY LAKE, Wash. – Two people are dead and a third is in the hospital after a murder-suicide outside of Bonney Lake.

Medics and deputies were called out to the home, on the 19900 block of Rhododendron Drive East, around 10:15 p.m. Friday night. They arrived to find a woman dead inside the home and a second woman injured. The injured woman was taken to a Tacoma hospital with serious injuries.

Soon after, a standoff began with a man who deputies believed was connected with the shootings. That standoff went on until around midnight, when SWAT members entered the home where the man was holed up. The man was found, dead of a gunshot wound.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ed Troyer confirmed that the shootings were being considered a homicide-suicide. Detectives believe that the man shot his wife and her friend before the standoff, then shot himself during the standoff.

The names of those involved in the incident have not been released.

I knew this man and he had a heart of gold! He was an extremely hard working man who had to grow up and be responsible for his own self survival. He put in long hours at work to provide the best for is family. As I see it he was so hurt and depressed that no matter what he did, it was never enough. She was threatening towards him, as far as her plans to take from him every thing he had worked so hard for. I feel he was backed into a corner that caused him to react in a manner that he acted on before thinking. I know he was probably laying on the floor crying his heart out after the fact of his reactions set in. A proud man with no possibility of him having to sit in prison for an action I know he regretted as soon as he realized what he had done. I am deeply heart broke about the outcome and will dearly miss him and his gold hearted kindness and million dollar smile. Please contact me with any information regarding services through my e mail. GOD BLESS!!!

You should probably remove your comment, as you shouldn’t bad mouth the dead. You were not them. You do not know how things were between them.
And for you to go and defend his actions by bad-mouthing Regina? Not cool. Have some consideration. Her family should not have to read that. Her son should not have to read that. No one needs to judge either of them. There is no blame to be placed.
It is tragic. There is nothing else to say. My heart goes out to every single person affected.
