Police: Woman suspected of stabbing man barricaded herself in home

STANWOOD -- Sheriff's deputies say a woman who stabbed a man Thursday morning barricaded herself in a motor home, refusing to come out for some time.

Snohomish County sheriff's deputies were called to the home of a 31-year-old woman in the 20000 block of Frank Waters Drive. Deputies say she stabbed a 56-year-old man multiple times with a knife.

The man was transported to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Deputies called to the scene around 4:45 a.m. Thursday attempted to negotiate with the female, but she refuses to come out of the motor home until just before 10 a.m.

It was previously reported that the man and woman were in a romantic relationship, but that is incorrect, deputies said. Apparently, the man was caring for the woman in some way, but the exact extent of their relationship was unknown.
