Port Angeles man, 22, arrested following pursuit

PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — The Clallam County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested a 22-year-old man following a police pursuit west of Port Angeles.

Sgt. Randy Pieper says the man allegedly rammed his father's car several times Sunday evening during a dispute at his family's home on the Lower Elwha S'Kallam tribal reservation.

The office says Cody Cornelson, who is not a tribal member, left the scene before officers arrived. He later fled when police officers attempted to stop him while he was driving. He sped away, eventually sliding into a tree and then running away.

He was booked into Clallam County Jail early Monday on investigation of malicious mischief, attempting to elude police and other charges.
