An Inside Look At Bombing Suspects

BOSTON (AP) — Jurors in the trial of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are set to begin deliberations after prosecutors and his lawyers told them Tsarnaev must be held accountable for participating in the 2013 attack.

Deliberations are expected to begin Tuesday morning in federal court.

During closing arguments Monday, Tsarnaev’s lawyers agreed with prosecutors that Tsarnaev conspired with his brother to bomb the marathon and planted one of two pressure-cooker bombs that exploded that day.

Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured in the attack.

Tsarnaev’s lawyer says it was his older brother, Tamerlan, who was the mastermind of the attack.

Tsarnaev faces 30 charges.

During the second phase of the trial, the same jury will decide whether Tsarnaev gets life in prison or a death sentence.
