Detectives desperate for suspect information in Bremerton double murder

BREMERTON, Wash. -- Kitsap County sheriff's detectives are working round the clock to try to find the person responsible for killing two people, including a 2-year-old boy.

The sheriff’s office says Saturday morning’s shooting deaths do not appear to be a random act. But as of Monday, detectives had little information on a suspect.

Neighbors are worried and desperate for information after Heather Kelso and her roommate’s 2-year-old son, Kaden Lum, were shot and killed.

“That`s very frightening,” neighbor Catherine Carter said.

“We got calls about multiple rounds being fired,” Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ken Dickinson said.

The first 911 call came from a neighboring trailer.

It’s been more than 48 hours since the chaotic shooting and neighbors want answers.

"I want a description of who I should look out for, people are here all day and night,” Carter said.

“Oftentimes we have a person somehow or a description or something like that. At this point we don`t have any of that,” Dickinson said.

Police say they`ve questioned many, but don`t have a suspect.

In February, Kelso obtained a protective order against her ex-boyfriend, saying he was verbally and physically abusive.

The sheriff’s office says they cannot talk about Kelso`s ex or the protective order.
Their focus right now is to get witnesses to come forward

“We need their eyes and ears if anybody knows anything, seen anything we encourage them to call 911,” Dickinson said.

Kelso has a 4-month-old baby who, luckily, was not inside the trailer during the shooting.

A source tells Q13 FOX News that Kelso's ex-boyfriend had nothing to do with the crime and that he was questioned and released by police.
