After deadlock, jurors to resume deliberations in Molly Conley killing case

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — An Everett jury is to resume deliberating Monday after it deadlocked on a single count in the trial of a man accused of killing a 15-year-old Seattle girl in a drive-by shooting in 2013.

Jurors deliberated for about six hours Friday before telling a Snohomish County judge they reached a verdict on all but one count. That count was not revealed.

The Daily Herald of Everett says Superior Court Judge Thomas Wynne told lawyers he didn't believe jurors had deliberated long enough for him to declare a mistrial. He instructed jurors to continue deliberating Monday.

Molly Conley was fatally shot as she walked with friends along a Lake Stevens road. The 28-year-old defendant, Erick Walker, is charged with murder, assault and five counts of drive-by shooting.
