USS Stennis will conduct helicopter training

BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — The nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis is leaving Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton for at-sea training.

While going through the Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca on Monday the vessel will conduct helicopter training with local Army units.

The training is to begin near Admiralty Inlet and will consist of several takeoffs and landings throughout the day, so people in the area may hear more aircraft noise.
