Body found in Columbia River near Wenatchee

WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — The Chelan County sheriff’s office is investigating after a man’s body was found in the Columbia River near Wenatchee.

Sheriff Brian Burnett says employees with the Chelan County Public Utility District reported the body Friday morning.

Burnett says Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris is working to identify the victim.

The body was found near the Rocky Reach Dam in north-central Washington.
