1 man injured in violent home invasion, robbery in north Seattle; 2 suspects sought

SEATTLE -- Police are searching for two suspects after a home invasion/robbery Friday night in Seattle's Bitter Lake neighborhood that sent one man to the hospital.

Police were called to the 10500 block of Dayton Avenue North just after 5:30 p.m Friday when two men reported a home invasion/robbery.

The victims told officers that two masked men barged into their home, held them at gunpoint, zip-tied their hands, and then searched the home for cash.

One of the victims fought back, and at that point one of the home invaders fired his gun. The bullet missed him, but then the suspect attacked him with an unidentified object, causing serious injuries, police said.

The suspects eventually fled, giving the victims a chance to free themselves and call police.

Medics transported the injured victim to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Robbery detectives are now working with the victims as they continue the investigation.
