NORMAN, Okla. — The University of Oklahoma is investigating a video that apparently shows several members of a fraternity chanting racial slurs.

Editor’s note: The video contains racist and abusive language. Viewer discretion advised.

The 10-second video filmed on Saturday and released by Unheard, a student organization at OU, appears to show members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity chanting “there will never be a nig*** in SAE.” The chant continues, “you can hang them from a tree, but they’ll never sign with me.”

According to the organization, the people shown in the video attend OU. University officials have not confirmed the people in the video are students at the university.

KFOR is reporting the video was filmed Saturday on the way to a date party for the fraternity’s founder’s day.

OU President David Boren released a statement on Sunday saying, “If the video is indeed of OU students, this behavior will not be tolerated and is contrary to all of our values. We are investigating.”

On Sunday, the national president of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity said the OU chapter has been placed on “immediate cease and desist.”

OHH BOOHOO! they are singing a song i don’t like! what a bunch of pansie-ass crybabies. i’ve been forced by blacks to fight or be beat to the ground, black guys jacked up my motorcycle trying to steal it, 3 blacks tried to rob my younger brother but all 3 ended up beat to crap (taekwando belt and ex-all state wrestler, (woops wrong victim) and, blacks commit twenty-five times more assaults against whites than whites do against blacks.

is it racism or facts why they don’t want to be around blacks.

Hey Pete, everything you describe that was “done to you” was done by individuals, not a whole race of people. Your brand of willful ignorance is why society continues to struggle with producing a meaningful post-racial social landscape. As long as every bad thing done by a black person is somehow representative of all black people, you are right Pete, why would anybody “want to be around blacks”. Conversely, each evil act committed by an individual white person is allowed to be considered what it truly is, a thoughtless, careless or evil act of an individual that has no broader meaning or reflection on anyone but that individual. It would be great if blacks could get that deal.
