Three Things to Know About the (Near) MLS Strike

SEATTLE — That sound you just heard? That was the collective sigh of relief from Sounders fans. According to ESPN, an agreement has been reached and the season will start today! While the intricacies of the deal may be overly complex and probably not that interesting to the average fan, there are three important things to take away from this close call that could have been a season-squashing strike.


    This new agreement will be in place for the next five years, after that, it’s back to the bargaining table.

    So, you too can let out that sigh of relief, the first kicks of the MLS’s 2015 season will be today. And, as you cheer on the Sounders, you now know why we came so close to not getting to cheer on the Sounders.
