Bold burglar caught on camera in Queen Anne apartment building

WANTED IN SEATTLE -- The burglary happened at 5:37 Sunday morning. That’s when the manager says a burglar used a crowbar to pry open the front door at the Highland Arms Apartments on Queen Anne. Once inside the man wandered through the building. First he broke into a storage closet, then he walked into the laundry room and took anything of value he can get his hands on. Just as fast as he got in the building he walked right back out the side door with the loot in his backpack. Neighbors aren’t used to break-ins in the building. Some say their sense of security has been shaken and they’re nervous. “I know we had an issue a couple of months ago or something like that and the manager put in cameras which I’m very appreciative. I’ve never felt unsafe in the building and now I’m starting to feel that way a little bit,” resident Lindsey Frattare said. Police came out and dusted for prints, but surveillance video and pictures offers the best opportunity to catch this thief. “I think it’s terrible. You keep things in your home that are yours. You expect them to be safe. You know your neighbor and you keep them locked up too and it’s disconcerting,” Frattare said.
