Trial for second suspect in Spokane beating death

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The second teen accused of beating a World War II veteran to death during a robbery in Spokane is due in court Monday.

KHQ reports the trial of 17-year-old Demetrius Glenn was continued after the first teen, Kenan Adams-Kinard, pleaded guilty to murder. He was sentenced last month to 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors say the two killed 88-year-old Delbert Belton in August 2013 outside an Eagles Lodge. They say Belton survived the battle of Okinawa but was killed for his wallet.
