Man shot in leg during botched robbery attempt on Beacon Hill; 4 suspects arrested

SEATTLE -- A man was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery on Beacon Hill Tuesday night, police said. Four suspects were later arrested.

Police said that officers were called to a shooting at about 9:20 p.m. near Beacon Avenue South and South Warsaw Avenue. Police found one man with a gunshot wound to a leg. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the victim reported he was walking in the area when he was approached by several men who told him he was being robbed. The victim was shot once in the leg during the confrontation and the suspects ran from the scene and fled in a car.

Police found the suspect vehicle in a parking lot at South Graham Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. A witness identified the car and the four suspects, who were then arrested, police said.
