At least 1 dead, 30 injured as commuter train collides with truck

Ventura County, CA — Officials said at least one person died after a train hit a truck in Ventura County early Tuesday morning.

At least four cars were derailed after a crash near East 5th Street and South Rice Avenue in Oxnard, an official with the Ventura County Fire Department said. KTLA reported at least 30 people were injured in the crash.

An unknown number of fatalities were located inside the truck, the official said.
