SEE IT: Busy freeway comes to standstill as dog makes a run for it

LOS ANGELES -- A California freeway nearly came to a complete stop as a dog jumped out in front of traffic.

Anne Taylor Hartzell was in a car behind the dog Wednesday on northbound I-405 near the Los Angeles International Airport. She took out her phone and started recording.

Hartzell said cars slowed down and tried to guide the dog off of the busy freeway:

"Feel so bad for the owner as it was not safe to stop and don't know where he came from. Look at him run. Praying this little miracle dog is reunited with his family."
