Journalist makes video in effort to show what it's like to walk Paris streets as a Jew

PARIS -- An Israeli journalist recently filmed himself walking through various sections of Paris wearing a kippah and traditional prayer tassels. He has released edited video of his trek that has quickly gone viral.

The journalist, Zvika Klein, says though at times he felt scared, he had a bodyguard with him. He also said he was expecting much worse than the spitting and name calling he encountered.

Klein said the purpose of the video is to raise awareness of everyday antisemitism in Europe. Most of the name calling, however, occurred in poorer, more predominately Muslim areas of the Paris suburbs, Klein said.
