Report: Dead puppy was hanged to death on fence

ABERDEEN — Police are looking for a person or the people responsible for the death of a 4-month-old puppy found hanging from a fence, the Aberdeen Daily World reports.

According to the Daily World, the dead puppy was found early Thursday morning hanging from a leash around its neck in the 400 block of West 5th Street. The leash was tied to the top of a wooden fence, police said.

Animal control officers believe the dog was suffocated while hanging from the fence, police said.

Anyone who has information about the crime should call the Aberdeen Police Department at 360-553-3180.
