Husband: Mom shot teaching daughter to drive may not live

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The husband of a woman who was shot in the head in an apparent road rage incident while teaching her teenage daughter to drive says she may not survive.

Robert Meyers tells The Associated Press that Tammy Meyers is on life support at a hospital. She was shot about 11:30 p.m. Thursday outside their Las Vegas home.

He says a vehicle followed his wife home after the driving lesson in a school parking lot. It passed the pair and hit the brakes before Tammy Meyers went around the vehicle.

Officer Miguel Garcia said Friday that investigators have conflicting reports but are looking for the shooter and at least one other person in a car that fled the scene.

Meyers says their 22-year-old son fired several shots with a 9mm handgun and may have hit the fleeing car.
