Principal: Mount Si High student arrested for allegedly sharing 'inappropriate photos' of others on social media

SNOQUALMIE, Wash. -- A Mount Si High School student has been arrested for allegedly having "inappropriate photos of others" and sharing them on social media, Mount Si High Principal John Belcher said in a message to parents.

He said the student was arrested Wednesday.

"At this time, police believe most of this activity took place at home on the student's personal devices," Belcher wrote. "The law enforcement investigation is ongoing."

He said the police would like to talk to anyone who might have knowledge of this activity, and that people should contact school resource officer Kim Stonebraker at 425-831-8115.

"Police and school officials are also working to identify potential victims to ensure they receive the support and resources they may need. If you know of someone who may be a victim, please contact Officer Stonebraker or our school counselors at 425-831-8150," Belcher said.

He also urged parents to have a conversation with their children about safe cyber use.
