Man drowns in Lake Washington, officials say

RENTON, Wash. -- Divers recovered a man's body Sunday afternoon from Lake Washington.

Mercer Island police said he and another man were at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park on Saturday. They said alcohol was possibly involved and the victim either fell into Lake Washington or walked in near the loading ramps.

The victim was not reported missing until nearly 24 hours later, according to Renton fire officials.

The victim's identity has not been released. Police are investigating.
