Man in scuba suit accused of lewd conduct on Yakima Greenway

UNION GAP, Wash. (AP) — Union Gap police say a man accused of engaging in lewd conduct while dressed in a scuba diving suit is under arrest. That came after a second woman reported seeing him on the Yakima Greenway.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that police had not been able to locate the man after they received a similar report in December.

In that case, a woman said the man stopped her on the Greenway and asked if she wanted to see him engage in a sex act. The woman tried to leave but he grabbed her and then rode off on his bicycle. He was wearing a dive suit and goggles.

On Friday, another woman reported seeing the same suspect. Officers found him hiding in the area and arrested him on suspicion of lewd conduct, assault with sexual motivation and trespassing.
