Police: Woman getting off work in Redmond physically, sexually assaulted by masked man

REDMOND, Wash. -- A woman said a masked man approached her asking for money as she was leaving work Thursday night, and when she refused, he physically and sexually assaulted her, Redmond police said Friday.

The incident happened at about 9 p.m. Thursday in the 16100 block of Northeast 85th Street in Redmond.

"During the altercation, the suspect placed his hand inside the victim's clothing to commit a sexual assault," the police news release said. "The victim was able to scream and fight back, causing the suspect to run off. A K-9 track was unable to locate the suspect."

The suspect was described only as a man of average height and build, race unknown, and wearing a dark jacket or sweatshirt.
