TACOMA, Wash. — A woman sent this letter to Q13 FOX following news that some of the New England Patriots players appeared to take shots at the Seahawks during the Super Bowl Victory Parade on Wednesday.

Read the letter below and then share your opinion on the Q13 FOX News Facebook page.

Let me start this letter off by saying that I am not a Patriots a fan. I was rooting for the Seahawks during Superbowl 49. I was confident in my team and was just waiting for that 2nd ring to fall into our hands. The Superbowl was an exciting game to say the least. Your team played well and was able to push back our defense which many teams have not been able to do. Even though we fought our hardest and in those last seconds of the game it seemed as though we had the win in our grasp, you swooped in with an interception to clinch the game. I will admit I was extremely disappointed and crushed because it really looked like the win was ours yet it just slipped right through our fingers. Even though I was upset, I walked away having a lot of respect for your team and how well you played. I felt as though we played a team that was able to give us a run for our money and that we had to work hard to keep up with. I was never a fan of your team but I gained respect for it after the Superbowl.

Let me move on to the point of my letter. I am not unfamiliar with the trash talking that occurs between teams in competitive sports. It’s the ugly nature of the beast and for the most part it just comes with the territory. The excitement and pressure that comes along with such a high profile and competitive job is inevitably going to bring out what I’d like to call the green-eyed monster. People will bash you when you are successful and especially when your success has become a threat to their own. However, there is a line to this harmless fun that should not be crossed and I think your team crossed it with your behavior during your celebration parade. Flying off at the mouth during the intensity and high stress moments of a football game is one thing, but going out of your way to parade around in front of your fans holding disrespectful signs and t-shirts directed towards the opposing team is simply bad form. The spectacle that players on your team have created not only rubs salt into an already painful wound but it tells those around you that you have no respect for any other teams or their fans. You are telling the world that it’s ok to beat someone while their down and that when you win you should throw it in people’s faces.

I would think you would want to be spending your celebratory parade actually celebrating your Superbowl championship win instead of dwelling on the other team. Any respect I had for your team before this incident was quickly lost when I saw your arrogant and unprofessional behavior. Am I saying that the Seahawks have been perfect in this area? Absolutely not. But I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we have never taken things to the level you have chosen to and I honestly find it despicable. I would have to say that in this case, a sore winner is much worse than a sore loser. You are the Superbowl champions. Focus on that and be proud of yourselves for your hard work. You don’t need to demean other people to do that. All you are doing in the process is hurting the organization you represent and losing the respect of many potential fans around the world. When you win, win with dignity and class no matter what other teams may say and do. Be the team that everyone looks at with respect and admiration. The NFL is a great organization to be a part of and I hope that you will do it justice by acting like a team that deserves to win by not only your physical attributes and skill sets but by the quality of your character. Be a team that everyone else strives to be like and not one that others see and shake their heads in disappointment. In the end, it is just a game.

    • Jasmine

She said the Seahawks weren’t without their own bad behavior but that they had never been so blatantly hurtful after a game to the other team. during a game it’s war and things happen you can’t tell me no member of the Patriots have been on a fight on the field but name one Seahawks who showed of a hateful msg directed at a team they beat

      • Neutral party

Richard Sherman. All the time? He has even made commercials out of his hateful messages. It must be nice to wear rose colored glasses all the time. I am a fan of neither team, but if you don’t see the antics that the Seahawks pull all the time you clearly aren’t paying attention. They are one of the most disrespectful teams in the league.

      • Matt Parker

Michael Crabtree ring a bell? You seahawks fans have short memories. Granted when you’ve only been a fan for 3 years, short term and long term are basically the same.

        • Peter

Matt I’m a hella bandwagon fan. Didn’t grow up here like most of Seattle residents didn’t. And I adopted the team after living with the Vikings 0-3. I have a bigger losing scar than you’ll ever have. Now what? Your move you dingdong.

      • KKIII

You’re right! The Seahawks can do no wrong! Baldwin was just expressing that he needed to relieve himself during that TD performance!

      • Justin

What about Richard Sherman after the NFC champsionship last year? Not the immediate aftermath, but in the press conference when he calmly called Crabtree mediocre with contempt dripping from his voice. That’s classless. The Patriots were just cheering and joking around with some signs and shirts made by fans.

      • Chief Taghkanic

Why make a distinction between during the game and after? If you care about classiness, it should be consistent. In any case, the Seahawks lack class both on and off the field, as other commenters have pointed out.

      • Rick

You are delusional. Richard Sherman is famous because he REPEATEDLY belittled Michael Crabtree before, during, and AFTER beating them. Maybe pay attention to your own team’s behavior.

        (insert crotch grab here)

    • Phillip Mazurik

Did you read what she wrote? She mentioned how the players overreact and fight in the heat of the moment, ie Bruce Irvin. Anyone who thinks what LB or Edelman did during the parade is anything butdistasteful is a shitty person

      • Chief Taghkanic

Oh, so it’s OK for the Seahawks to act like douchey thugs during the game, then they expect no one to react after? Please. Anyway, Seattle’s players misbehave and disrespect other teams off the field as well, so that whole line is even more b.s.

    • Denise

Gronkowski admitted that he threw the first punch. “Then I got pushed or something, and I was like, ‘Screw it. Last game of the season, I’m throwing haymakers.'” Actual quote from the guy. You watch the video and AFTER that, Irwin threw the punch at Gronkowski.

      • Chief Taghkanic

Gronk was KIDDING on a comedy show. Clearly, Seahawks fans have no sense of humor. And the video shows Seattle going after him first.

        • Denise

Did you watch the video? Gronkowski CLEARLY threw a punch before Irvin. Video doesn’t lie. He denied it and then saw the video and had to admit he threw the punch.

          • Denise

We lost the Superbowl. Just like Denver did last year. There is a HUGE difference to me in trash talking at the game and then your behavior once the game is over. The pushing was bad, the punching was worse – but I don’t think that shows the true character of either team. Both sides trash talk during the game. Both sets of fans and players made fun of the other team during the game on twitter, with memes and in each other’s faces. That’s part of the game and the high, running emotions. I am good with that.
I hate that we lost – I actually disagree that it was a bad call to pass the ball (of the 66 passes from the 1 yard line – ONE has been intercepted – the that made the difference in the Superbowl). I applaud Malcom Butler and think he made an amazing interception. I applaud Tom Brady – he is a great quarterback.
And that is the fdifference – during the game, I talked trash about Tom Brady (I had no idea who Malcom Butler was) and I screamed at the TV and the Seahawks for making a stupid call and passing the ball. But once the game was over, I (like most of the Seahawks) congratulated the other team and took the high road.
The Seahawks NEVER belittled or made fun of the Broncos during our victory parade last year. THAT is the difference.
I have a teenage son and we talk about the behavior during sports. HE used to get upset when other teams trash talked during the game, but he quickly learned that it was their attempt to throw him off. But I have also taught him to be a good winner and never rub it in the losing team’s face. Once the game is over, all of the trash talk and high emotions go away and you shake the other team’s hands and thank them for a good game. I deleted posts of his twitter account after he crowed about a victory – by belittling another team and then we spoke about how that is poor sportsmanship and he is better than that. That is the underlying theme of the letter and I agree with the writer.
Congrats to the Patriots and their fans on winning the Superbowl. It was a good, exciting game and we hope to see you again next year.

          • John Doe

From all of us in Patriot Nation, we wish your son & his field hockey team the best of luck this year

    • Tami

So quick to write a comment. That was DURING the game. He also after apologized for his behavior. I think you missed the whole point of the letter. When we celebrated after our win we never even thought about insulting the other teams players.

  • Heather

This letter made me laugh. You have one of the worst offenders of bad sportsmanship and trash talking in the whole NFL (#25). I am not a fan of either of these teams but as someone who lives in Sesttle I love that the Patriots mocked the ridiculousness of the Seahawks and their fans. Could not be happier that ‘bitch mode’ and ‘Cheat Carroll’ and the fans were taken down. Best.Game.Ever!!!

    • Darrell

I find it ironic that in response to an article talking about the Patriots, you call Carroll a cheat. That is funny. The Patriots have actually been caught cheating before and are being investigated for cheating again this year. Im not a fan of either team. But calling one a cheater when the other one has been caught cheating in the NFL is quite idiotic.

  • Preston

    I agree with the Amanda..
There is no place for disrespectful behavior in the NFL or any other place in the world. Doug Baldwin lost a lot of respect from me when he chose that celebration after his touchdown grab. I was appalled… Act like you belong there. The patriots gave this win a black eye after publicly disrespecting a brilliant and talented team. If Seattles defense had been 100% healthy you would not have come back and the last 5 seconds wouldn’t have mattered. Thank your lucky stars that your team is the champs of the 49th Super Bowl. It was an incredible game.

    • Chief Taghkanic

I guess you weren’t aware that the Patriots had injuries, too. In fact they won the Super Bowl this year without their #1 running back and #1 run-stuffing linebacker.

    • John Doe

and…. IF… your aunt had balls… She’d be your uncle.
Also… IF… you’re coach (that we fired) wasn’t brain dead (like in the Texas/USC BCS Game) you would’ve won the game… (insert crotch grab, dropping deuce on ball, TWO FOUR got beat, QB’s not black enough, etc.)
As my dad taught me, take your beating like a man

  • Ron

The Seahawks are the biggest trash talkers of all. If they would have won Super Bowl 49 we would not hear the end of it and the trash talking would have gone on till the beginning of next season. So save your pouting and take the loss like a true fan….. Or are you???

    • Sean

After last year’s Super Bowl you didn’t see any of what the Patriots did in their parade. The Seahawks celebrated their victory not Denver’s loss.

      • Chief Taghkanic

Richard Sherman was prematurely celebrating on the sidelines and taunting Darrell Revis. How’d that work out for him? Also, Seattle taunted opponents they beat in the playoffs in years before. But probably you don’t know that, as a bandwagon fan.

      • Mike

This is so dumb. You whiners are taking a great parade and trashing it. Our players said nothing about the lewd behavior of yours and all the trash talking some of them do. All of this sour grapes because of a few signs quoting your childish, annoying, trash talker, Richard Sherman. But, I guess that’s okay even though he repeatedly does this. Grow up.

  • Chris m

So its ok if the Seahawks start a fuckin fight on the field while the game is still in progress but wrong for us to talk about the players who trashed talked us for 2 weeks?

  • Asa

As a non-seahawks fan not from WA but currently living here, y’all do the same thing. No I’m not a Pats fan, but the trash talk, disrespectful attitudes, and demeaning shirts are on seahawks and their fans as well. In fact I don’t think any team and their fan base can claim that there is non of that stuff happening or being produced. It’s part of it. Is’nt it time people realize that not everything is going to be pleasing to them all the time. Everyone is different, get over it. And as far as the celebratory manners, I strictly remember certain players on the Hawks getting fined for their celebrations and gestures… Just sayin’.

  • Chris

Oh boooo hooo… all you so called Legion of Boom with your crying and this and that. Deal with it, its the nature of the beast. How would you know that your fan base won’t react the same. How do you know that your fan base wouldn’t use the deflate gate on the Pats. Come on now. Take the beat down and move on. I am not a Patriots fan, but I ain’t mad at what they are doing. They are being classy in their own right. Stop writing these booo hooo letters. SMH.

  • Jerru

Did you not see the fight your Seahawks started at the end of the game. Now I can’t stand the Pats but the Seahawks behavior wasn’t one to be proud of either

  • Ron

Oh but it’s ok for lynch to jump into the end zone while grabbing his balls?? Yeah real classy?? So called fans!! Psh I saw all of you in line at my store returning your Seasucks jerseys with receipts in hand LOL. Take this letter down it’s embarrassing ;-)

  • Lee

GREAT LETTER. Couldn’t agree more. They won and instead of just enjoying their win they had to make spectacles of themselves. It juts goes to show that Seahawks were under their skin. And yes there are fans who may have continued with trash talking and what if the Seahawks had won….the difference being that the TEAM would not have used their celebratory parade to showcase that kind of behavior.

    • KKIII

Lee you’re right- they’d just use every press conference leading up to the game to trashtalk, every opportunity in front of the camera pre/during the game to trash talk, TD celebrations to “poop” on the other team, the last minute loss to start a fight, etc. The hawks are saints! Nothing as severe as wearing a few goofy t-shirts!!! Those scumbag Patriots!!!

    • John Doe

you don’t understand…. THATS THE BEST PART… rubbing you douche bags’ face in it!!!!!
We have a parade up here at least every other year. Time to hang your hat on Robby Cano, & Queen Felix.
      Eat a dick, LOSERS

  • ben

I for one am real tired of people calling Seattle classy. Like how can you ignore everything they have said and done all season and during the superbowl. Seattle fans are just as emotional as the team is. Also who cares let the Pats have fun with their fans. If you did not want to see them celebrate, then you could hit the power button or change the channel….it’s OK I know it sounds crazy, but it’s the steps you can take to avoid seeing the superior team celebrate a victoy over a disrespectful undisciplined team…

Also I looked up videos of the Seahawks being disrespectful wanting to post one here. But since I think there are thousands more than any other team, you can look then up yourself.

  • Zach

i think she has a completely false view of her team…the disrespectful sign she is talking about was a picture of Richard Sherman when the Seahawks took a 10 point lead looking into the camera and mocking darrelle revis saying 24, 24. Also after the nfc championship game last year, the Seahawks had won, game over. In a post game interview Richard Sherman came out completely uncoerced said how he was the best cornerback in the league and how dare you put a sorry wide receiver like Michael Crabtree on him. This wasn’t at a local celebration, no it was on national t.v. Not to mention in 2012 after beating Tom Brady and intercepting him, after the game was over he followed Brady off the field yelling “you mad bro.” Who is the sore winner? In conclusion Amanda from Tacoma is just a sore loser. Maybe when other teams in the league, and other teams fans respect the patriots for there 14 year dominance in the nfl and stop calling them cheaters and liars with no facts, then maybe the patriots will respect them! ONE FOR THE THUMB NEXT YEAR!

  • Mike Little

I am and always have been a die-hard Seahawks fan. Trash talk is trash talk and we give as good as anyone, and I would expect to receive after this unbelievable game. Fans are fans and that always comes with a mixed bag of maturity. But I do agree with the author of this letter about the way the Patriots players are doing it. But as I thought about it, coming from such an ethics-challenged leadership in Boston I would expect nothing less. I can’t focus on NE, nor will I look forward to reading next year’s Patriots scandal that will inevitably consume headlines… whatever that will be. Go Hawks. Looking forward to next year!

      • Bobby

What does adderal have to do with anything? If you are going to use that as an argument then do we need to bring up the fact that 3 of the 4 rings you have won are tainted with cheating implications. One of which was proven and punished by the NFL.

        • James

Oh the taping of teams? Something all teams did…lol the Patriots won’t even get in trouble for the deflategate scandal, since if you understood things you would realize it was nothing but sour grapes of Pagano, Harbaugh and the GM of the colts. The reports were falsified by Mortensen who said 11 of the balls were 2lbs under, come to find out assclown the only ball 2lbs sat under control of the Colts. I hope the last 15 years of seeing Tom Brady run the league has been an enjoyment..your overrated team got beat because they played an actual TEAM unlike the Broncos last year. Also Revis is far better then Sherman.

          • Chief Taghkanic

Learn your NFL history, pal. The Pats won Super Bowls in 2001, 2003 and 2004. The NFL memo on taping went out at the end of 2006. There was only one game after that (first game of 2007) when the Pats taped from the sidelines. And by the way… Taping from *any other location* was legal and remains legal. You can tape signs, just not from that location. The signs are given in front of 80,000 people, and can be taped from a booth, from the stands, etc. P.S. The Patriots’ record has improved post-Spygate (69% before, 75% after) so clearly that was not key to their winning. P.P.S. Other teams have admitted they did the exact same thing.

        • KKIII

aaaaand you have the highest recorded steroid violations in the past 5 years??? deflated balls < steroids. jesus man try and not be biased.

Also Lee- where does Baldwin pretending to defecate on the Pats during his TD celebration fall on your scale of maturity?

  • Stephanie Smith

    These are 2 separate comments:
Things Seahawks fans think are classy:
Taunting “U mad, bro” to the point it becomes its own clothing line
Taunting 2-4, mouthing it and holding fingers up to cameras at the Super Bowl
Pretending to shit out a football in the end zone during the Super Bowl
Starting a fight at the Super Bowl
Getting the first ejection in Super Bowl history
Not doing the job the Seahawks organization pays you to do (looking at you, Lynch)
Leading the league in PED violation (but that’s not cheating!)
Booing Idina Menzel during the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Class out the ass, 12s
Crotch grabbing into the End Zone. Super, Duper Classy
Vandalizing the homes, cars, and work spaces of Patriots fans
Picking fights with Pats fans on the bus or in the streets, simply for wearing Pats gear. Leave me alone, bruh. I just wanna take Buzzfeed quizzes while I travel. Jerk.
Forbidding Pats fans to wear their team’s shirts/jerseys to work in Seattle
Taking shots regarding unsubstantiated claims around under inflated balls- claims which, if you have been following the story (I believe most of you have not been, or you would know it is a non story), have turned out to be totally bogus. I guess it’s just classier to scream CHEATERS like a 1980’a Valley Girl than to admit the Patriots are a damn good team with superior talent and you are a classless hater.
Printing “Pats Suck” on a receipt after the Pats win the Super Bowl. Way to keep it classy Seattle. Well done.
Claiming the Pas only won by “luck” or because the Hawks “gave away” the game, as opposed to simply admitting y’all got outcoached and outplayed. No one loses a game on one play. If your oh-so-amazing defense hadn’t given up a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter for the first time in Super Bowl history, y’all wouldn’t have lost. It’s not classy to make excuses.Taking responsibility is classy.
The Seahawks organization thought it was classy to send out a tweet comparing their NFC championship win to Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement, #weshallovercome. No joke. Classy, guys.

Seahawks fans think it’s perfectly ok to act one way all season and expect something completely different from everyone else. You can’t have it both ways, guys. If y’all gonna act like that all season long, why you expect anyone else to act better? You set the standard, right? *rollseyes*

For the record, the meme signs and t-shirts y’all are so mad about weren’t even made by the Patriots. The signs were brought by fans and the shirts were made by an independent retailer named Sully’s. The Patriots had little to do with either, except that they picked them up from the crowd and waved them around. Should they have? Probably not. But, especially considering the monumental amounts of crap they took this season, the two weeks before the game, and during the game from the Seahawks themselves, they didn’t so much instigate any of it. Which is WAY more than I can say for any of the things I listed above. So, look out Seattle, your hypocrisy is showing.

The hypocrisy of the Seahawks and their fans will never cease to amaze me. In their mind, it is classy to taunt the opposing team- on camera- like Sherman did. It is classy to taunt a la “U mad, bro” to the point it becomes its own clothing line. It is classy to not do your job, a la Lynch and the media. It is totally classy to pretend to shit out a football in the endzone after a touchdown, like Doug Baldwin. It is classy to take potshots about unsubstantiated claims regarding underinflated footballs, unproven claims that in no way show intent to cheat or are in any way actually cheating and in fact, when all evidence point to not cheating, the fans still screech CHEATERS at the top of their lungs like 1980’s Valley Girls. It is classy for Seahawks fans to vandalize Pats fans homes and cars. It is classy to forbid Pats fans to wear their teams shirts and jerseys to work in Seattle. It is classy that Seahawk fans pick fights on the bus or the street with me or my friends because we are wearing Pats gear. Seriously- leave me alone, bruh, I just wanna take Buzzfeed quizzes while I travel. Jerk. It is classy to be so uninformed that you don’t even realize the Hawks were in 3 Super Bowls or that Deion Branch is not only a former Patriot, but a former Hawk as well. It is classy to say “Pats Suck” on a receipt after the Pats win the Super Bowl. Because, clearly, only teams that suck win the Super Bowl. It is classy to make excuses for your loss, instead of just admitting that you got beat by a better team, which happens sometimes. Your team didn’t do its job as well as the Pats. Shit happens. Get over it and stop being an ass. These are just some of the thing the SEahawks and their fans have done this season. And they have the nerve to call anyone else not classy. If I were the Patriots and I had been treated the way they had all season, perhaps I’d let loose a bit as well. Also, for the haters, the actual Pats had nothing to do with those shirts. They are made at Sully’s and were handed out in the crowd. The meme signs were brought by the crowd. Did they have to wave them around? No. That was probably dumb. But I’d be pissed too, with all the nonsense the Seahawks and their fans have been doing this season. Perhaps it’s a good lesson for the Hawks and their fans: turnabout is FAIR PLAY. You can’t act without class ALL season and expect a higher standard of behavior from someone else. It doesn’t work that way. That is an unfair double standard. Hypocrites.
    Cindy Meyer

    • Seattle fans are harsh

Dam I can’t believe you brought up the arrogant MLK reference. Hawks fans were either hoping no one would remember or haven’t been fans enough to know about it. Sweet Jesus, Hammer don’t hurt them! I have a brother, great guy, grew up in Seattle. Loved Drew Bledsoe at WSU. Followed him to NE. Supported them in the Superbowl lose to GB. Has been all Pat Patriot ever since. In the two weeks leading up to the Superbowl and days since he was met with merciless ridicule and taunting, but he has maintained the kind of poise and humility that one learns after your favorite team goes 18-1 losing in the Superbowl or has the dubious distinction of losing the big game to Eli Manning twice and you don’t live in Boston. To be a Patriot Fan outside of the New England area might be perhaps the hardest decision a sports fan has to make. To support the team now while currently residing in Seattle is perhaps the bravest endeavor One could make.

    • Ezekiel

Pretty much ends the convo Stephanie…well put.

And to all those crying about being called bandwagon get over it..every team has bandwagons. Yours are just more recent. I was in AZ and over half the people I asked wearing SEA gear had no idea who Jim Zorn was. So there’s that.

  • Brian harrington

I think she should worry about her own team and their classless and obnoxious behavior. The Seahawks and many of there fans are some of the most prideful, arrogant rub it in your face teams around. Many people including myself who might have rooted for them or just been neutral are now very much against them and will root against them no matter who they play because of there actions and demeiner. Richhard Sherman in particular has gone out of his way on more than one occasion to rub a loss in opponents faces after the game and launch into name calling, taunting and trash talk. your team has lived and died displaying this type of behavior not just once but on many occasions and so if you lose respect for the Patriots for this behaviour than why do you continue to support the Seahaks? Seem like you are applying a double standard, the Seahawks and their fans need to eat a little humble pie and think about it next time they find themselves on top, maybe then they can act a little different since they know how it feals to be on the other end now. Losing sucks and now you got a little taste of it.

  • Ed

Man, Seahawk fans are not handling defeat well. A team famed for throwing it in the faces of their opponents after beating them now have their fans whining because another team is throwing it in their faces after beating them.

  • Daniel

Classy like when the player on your team, after scoring a touchdown, decided to mimic taking a shit in the endzone with the Patriots logo? Or when your team decided to start a fist fight after the game because of you guys being sore losers? Oh, or howabout all the peds your players were taking last year? You’d best take a look around your own garbage pale before you worry about the trash in ours. Sincerely, SUCK IT WE WON HAHA FUCK YOU.

  • scott

R u serious Amanda, the seahwks ran their mouths the entire 2 weeks before the superbowl and the pats stayed silent and got their fire alarms pulled every night by hawks fans and u completely ignore how much the hawks ran their mouths and how Much of a d-bag Sherman is and how ridiculous lynch behaves with the media and disrespecting the game, pats win before they talk shit and they had every right to with the bullshit they put up with for 2 weeks

  • James

Please provide a link to Amanda’s letters to the Seahawks after the Patriots/Seahawks game in 2012 and the NFC Championship last year.

  • Ryan's A Punk!
    You are an IDIOT
YOU LOOK REAL SMUG IN YOUR BOSTON 2009 PICS! You would be from Boston you idiot.. Only an idiot and punk from Boston would post something like that.

Amanda is legit for speaking her mind!

And you- you’re pathetic. Your family should be embarrassed of you. Especially Elizabeth.

    • KKIII

So this man is a punk- what does creeping on his family make you, you twisted freak? Do you have the Lubriderm next to your keyboard? Too many cats to count? Picked last in gym class and still dealing with it?

It’s okay buddy, we’re all going to make it. Maybe not you, but the rest of us. World of Warcraft will accept your type, I’m sure of this.

          • Pete

You mean like the fucking losers you were last year? Only one team in the league has made it to two super bowls in a row plus won one of them in the last 10 years, and it ain’t you.

          • dbells

you win for stupidest comment, ever…

Who was the last team to win back to back SB’s? Oh yeah, the Patriots. They have been to 6 SuperBowls and won 4 of them in the past 13 years. The Hawks? Not even close.

Get your head out of your ass.

          • Karma's a Bitch

Pete allow me to walk you through this one slowly, Super Bowl Losses don’t have the same impact or the significance that a Super Bowl victory commands. In fact it’s best not to even play in the Super Bowl if you wind up on the losing side. Defeat is nothing to brag about unless you’re a SeaSquawk. To say you made it to the Super Bowl twice yet only won once now directly relates to one Super Bowl victory every 40 years….Which really isn’t that much to crow about…Unless your a Seasquawk. Don’t use Super Bowl Defats to pad a single Super Bowl win…it’s so freaking WEAK.

          • Donna Creighton

No, you’re right Pete – you appeared in back to back Super Bowls, and won only one. Let’s see now – I think another team appeared in back to back Super Bowls and won them both. Now let me think, who was that . . . . oh yeah, the Patriots! You idiot – think before you post.

          • John Doe

oh…. ummmm…. who was the last team to go back to back?
I believe it was the team who fired your brain dead coach….. now take that and run, I mean PASS with it (since you’re a Seattle fan)

          • Peter

Hey Mike. Seattle has the WORST PLAY IN HISTORY. They own it. Nobody will ever beat it. Historic. Amazing. Unforgettable A pain you will never feel. Now go tell the world how great the Patriots are. Seriously. They are the greatest ever and forever forgettable. Boring as all get-out. But the greatest. Never to be a team more greater EVAH! Your move.

    • Grow up

I can’t believe you searched someone online and shared their personal information. How childish and creepy? You must be a spoiled brat, and obviously have no integrity at all. Wow. You need help.

    • Easy, MS

Be careful, Mike. One of the e-mails you signed me up for had an IP address trail. Not too tough to find out more about you with that info.

  • Makaylla

I am adding my 2 cents in because well I am a patriots fan and nothing they have done will compare to the many crotch grabs or Sherman actions that have happened in the past season, my kids watch football with me and if any of my sons ever grabbed his crotch like the Seattle team does on national tv. I as a momma would be extremely pissed off! The Seahawks are seen as hoodlums because of thee actions on the field, I personally will not watch a Seahawks game unless patriots are thee opposing team! The form is disgusting and I will not let them set any kind of standard in my children’s life. My kids look up to football players and crotch grabbing will not be tolerated in my house hold!

  • Matt

this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read! Has Amanda ever WATCHED the Seahawks? Unprofessional behavior? Lack of quality of Character? Sore winners and losers?….YOU JUST DESCRIBED THE SEAHAWKS!!!! IN EVERY GAME!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pat

This letter is completely useless because: 1. Seahawks were the most penalized team in football. 2. Richard Sherman 3. Bruce Irving is a coward, overlooking that desperate fight at the end sure puts a different spin on things 4. The Pats didn’t give the hawks “a run for their money”, they won 5. “U mad bro”-Richard Sherman 6. Pete Carroll lets his entire team namely Marshawn run wild. This was the first day in 10 years Bill let his hand off the whip 7. Richard Sherman. Calling any other team classless as a Hawks fan is the most literal example of the pot calling the kettle black there is

    • Pete

Because as we all know, a bunch of false starts and offsides penalties somehow make you classless. Do these guys even have brains?

  • 99joshj

Ill have to agree. If your the champ, then represent like a champ. But as far as the pats being a team that gave the seahawks a run for their money. Ha! The KC Chiefs gave the birds a run for their money and beat them. And demolished the Pats on MNF. Now thats a team that are true champs. They play hard and when or lose they do it with class and dignity. Next year they’ll show the world how champs are to be!

Lane saying Gronk was a mediocre player (out in the 1st), Sherman with his typical antics (over 100 yards from Edelman), Beast Mode?, Baldwin’s ‘pooping’ on the Patriots routine, Starting a fight at the end of the game, etc, etc. Not a single trash talking Patriot before the game. You have to be kidding me with this letter. EVERY single thing the Patriots did during that parade was entirely justified and rather comical given the level of arrogance the Seahawks had going into the SB.

  • Edward

Why isn’t anyone asking why Amanda is watching the Patriots Super Bowl parade? If I were a Seahawks fan, that’s the last thing I’d be doing.

Also, I know you tried to save yourself by saying there’s a line between emotions in a game and being classless versus a few days later during a celebration parade, but surely you can’t be so misguided that you don’t see how classless some players on the Seahawks can be, right? Read Cindy’s post.

  • cactusbomb

Sore losers much? You must be the same people that think everyone should get a trophy for participation. You LOST. Suck it up. Take your punishment.

  • Sean Martinez (@SeanMartinez5)

Like Sherman’s classy rant about Michael Crabtree last year? Like Baldwin’s class act in the end zone, pretending to crap a football? Like Marshawn’s classy stiff arm to 2 cameramen on his way to the bus after the game? I’m sure your team’s parade last year was a tea party, right?

  • juliehermanson

Wow, Amanda really must have hit a nerve with Pats fans, usually that happens when someone knows something is true! When comments are laced with hate and obscenities, the comments are worthless.

  • Will

this is hilarious! What about Sherman and his U mad bro meme? He started it, and was not in “the heat of the game”. What about his post NFC champs game interview? Seattle fans need to look in the mirror before they discuss any other teams antics.

  • Mike

I see no mention of Sherman tweeting a picture of his ring at Patrick Peterson in the offseason, or openly mocking players on national TV before, during and after games. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

  • Stoolie4life

Cry for me Amanda and you all you loser 12th mans! This is great, the biggest loudmouths in the NFL are upset about the Patriots. Kiss the Rings!!

  • Dakota

Cry about it! GUESS WHAT? IT’S FOOTBALL. Do you understand how classless and unsportsmanlike the Seahawks acted towards the end of that game? LET ALONE MULTIPLE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE PAST? Get over it. The hypocrisy here is appalling and you have no right to speak on behalf of the Seahawks. Both teams have acted in a very unsportsmanlike manner, don’t try to play the victim card. It’s sad. You’re butthurt. It comes with being a fan, get over it!

  • holdenqcaulfield

I have an open letter for you Amanda and any other fans from Seattle that agree with you.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is why no one takes your fan base seriously because you are the biggest hypocritical A-holes. You have a team full of scumbags but you don’t see that. You forget all of the moments when they are classless and taunt / attack people in games or in the course of their normal lives.

In closing, I would like to say that no one respects you. Giving yourselves such a weak nickname further reminds the rest of the world that you are a fan base created in 2012 because the only fan before that was the kid in Free Willy.

    4 time Champions.

p.s. you are welcome for our gift of Pete Carroll.

    • Pete

Your team sucked last year, ours didn’t. Only one team has made it to two Super Bowls in the last 2 years and also won one. Say what you want about whoever you want, everyone in the world knows the Seahawks are a better team than the Patriots, and the only reason a rookie defender was able to bail out your superstar QB out of a loss was a bad play call. Seahawks are Vegas favorites to win it all next year. There’s a reason for that. Enjoy the win and your bitter shit talking, we’ll enjoy our superior team.

  • leslie jones

Dear Seahawks fan, hmm, remember you fans throwing garbage on an injured 49ers player as he was carted off the field? I remember fans taunting my 16 year old Patriots fan daughter at the Patriots/ Seahawks game a few years ago. 16 years old. Oh, and Richard Sherman didn’t ask for that with his 24? Most penalized team in the league, remember. Oh please, Seahawks are a great team, but the high road you do not occupy.

    • Pete

It was one fan who threw some popcorn. Don’t stoop to their level. Remember that Pats fan who shot someone and killed him? Who gives a fuck, really?

  • J R

you know what you do at parades? you have fun with your fans. so if a fan throws a funny sign or shirt to you – you hold it up – you laugh and you move on. it isn’t like Edelman made that sign and brought it with him. Blount didn’t buy the shirt and bring it to the parade. Stop being so butt hurt – feel free to mock the Pats in the same way when you win the Super Bowl…I won’t care. But I’m also pretty sure you won’t be back there for a while…

  • BDubya

    Amanda = Bitter, Sour-grapes, Hypocrite.

I’m a fan of the Pats and we’ve been spoiled for the past 15 years or so with a great team from Owner to waterboys. Pats fans know all too well the pain of losing a superbowl…we’ve lost 4! I know the last 2 we lost to the Giants were so tough that I needed to put myself on media lockdown for 1-2 weeks after the losses. I avoided any news programs/radio programs discussing the aftermath like the plague. I believe that to the victor go the spoils… and Winners deserve to celebrate. I wouldn’t even dream of watching the hometown victory parade…what do you think you were going to see?…signs saying “Richard Sherman is really a nice guy!”?

Try looking at things objectively before pointing the finger elsewhere.

I know, it HURTS!….but…Time to move on.

  • silver

Ok everyone sounds totally ridiculous! Seahawks lost and they are dealing with it, but pats fans just still cant handle it because they know how close the pats were to losing. This is just their way of trying to make themselves feel better because the world knows that was Seattle’s game!

  • christi

I am curious if rolls were reverse.. This game ment a lot to both teams. Sherman with all his trash talking along with other players… Seattle if they won would have taken down the dynasty. You don’t think for one minute the Seattle fans wouldn’t bring signs about Brady losing. You would be in denial.

  • Jason

This is pathetic. I love how she says the she knows that Seahawks would never take it to that level.. that’s not an argument at all.
The reason the Patriots were on the attack was because the past few weeks have been all about Patriots haters and analyst who jumped the gun and said they were cheaters while the investigation was in its infantile stage. It was definitely an “us against the world” mentality. Did they go too far? Probably. But the Seahawks are the last team in the NFL that should be complaining.

Now cue the uninformed “spygate” and “deflategate” haters who ignore that the Seahawks have had numerous violations including being the top team with PED suspensions in the past three years.

    • Pete

Let’s not forget who the biggest infringer of PEDs was, a guy called Brandon Browner who now plays for the Patriots. Pot, meet kettle.
