Woman opens tuna can, looks inside and sees eyes staring back (PHOTO)

ARNOLD, United Kingdom --  A British Mother says she opened a can of tuna and looked inside only to see two eyes staring right back at her.

According to the Nottingham Post Newspaper Zoe Butler opened the can of Princes tuna and found a tiny creature with black eyes and a spiny tail.

"I dropped the fork, jumped back, screamed a bit and shouted for my nan to come and have a look."

Butler’s grandmother, Susan Goddard, told the newspaper she did come and have a look.

"It's a little red and has eyes, bright black, looking at you. We did manage to ascertain that it was dead."

An expert told the newspaper said it could be a form of juvenile crab.

The tuna company says it has contacted Butler, apologized and is investigating.

Butler says she hasn't shown her kids yet because she doesn't want them to stop eating tuna.  But she says she does want to find out what the creature is and to ensure another one doesn't find its way into anyone else's food.

"I didn't set out to get compensation and I don't a want lifetime's supply of tuna!"
