20-year-old man shot in apparent robbery attempt in Seattle’s Central District

SEATTLE — Two masked assailants shot and wounded a 20-year-old man during an apparent robbery attempt in the Central District Monday, police said.

The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the back, police said.

Officers were called to the 100 block of 27th Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. After speaking to the victim, police said, officers believe he may have been the target of a robbery.

The assailants were described by witnesses as two black men, wearing all black clothing and ski masks. They ran from the scene.

Police asks that anyone with information about this shooting to please call 911.
