A woman was arrested early Saturday morning after a drive-by shooting in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood hit one person and went through an apartment window.

Seattle Police Det. Patrick Michard said that officers were on patrol around 1 a.m. when they heard shots coming from around the intersection of 1st Avenue and Blanchard Street. Immediately after, a woman in the same area called 911 saying a bullet had come through her apartment window.

Witnesses told police that they saw a white Camaro speeding from the area right after the shots were fired. A short time later, the car was seen exiting from I-5 at Dearborn, and soon after it crashed on the 900 block of Dearborn.

The driver of the Camaro ran from the scene, leaving his two passengers behind. One passenger, a 20-year-old woman, was arrested for the shooting, while the other passenger was questioned and released at the scene. Michard said that a 9mm handgun was found at the crash scene. The driver of the car is still being sought.

While a trail of blood was found at the shooting scene, the victim has not been located.

Michard is asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact the homicide/assault tip line at 206-233-5000.
