Wind gusts were reported near 60MPH at SeaTac Airport around game time yesterday that left 60,000+ puget sound area residents without power. By the time the storm had come and gone, the defending World Champion Seattle Seahawks were victorious in what is being called the finest NFL Playoff game - ever, over the Green Bay Packers by a score of 28-22 in overtime. SEATTLE (AP) — The 12th man flag that flew on top of the Seattle Space Needle for the Seahawks NFC championship game was battered by high winds over the weekend.

The edges are visibly tattered Monday.

A spokesman for the Space Needle says the flag that was raised by Walter Jones on Friday will be taken down Monday evening and held in a place of honor, yet to be determined.

A new 12th man flag will be raised for the Super Bowl.
