Police: Man arrested after stabbing grandparents, killing grandmother

MILL CREEK - Mill Creek Police arrested a 22-year-old man after he reportedly stabbed his grandparents, killing his grandmother, late Thursday night.

Mill Creek Officer Ian Durkee told Q13FOX News that that a man called 9111 to report that he had been stabbed by his grandson. Police and fire medics responded to the home in the 3900 block of 145th Street Southeast just before midnight and found an 83-year-old woman deceased, and an 83-year-old man alive, but with stab wounds.

The 83-year-old man, the suspect's grandfather, told police that his grandson had attacked him and his wife, the suspect's grandmother, Durkee said.

The suspect fled the scene but was arrested about six blocks from the murder scene. He was found mostly naked, with blood on his hands, police said.

Medics transported the grandfather to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police said the man has a history of mental illness.

Mill Creek Police are continuing to investigate this stabbing incident.
