Police: Idaho gunman kills 3 in multiple shootings

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Police say a gunman killed three people and critically wounded another during a spree at three locations in Moscow, Idaho.

The suspect, 29-year-old John Lee, was captured Saturday afternoon following a high-speed chase in Washington state.

According to police, Lee killed his adoptive mother before heading to Northwest Mutual life insurance and shooting two men, one of whom died at Pullman Regional Medical Center.

The shooter then drove to Arby's and asked for the manager. When she appeared, he opened fire. The manager died at the Moscow hospital.

He then fled in a vehicle that crashed into a ditch north of Colfax, Washington. Lee was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries before he was booked into the Whitman County Jail.
