SEATTLE -- After a trip to the other side of the country, a dog from Eastern Washington is finally reunited with her owners.
Q13 FOX News was there for the cheerful reunion at Sea-Tac Friday night.
The owners think a truck driver took 7-month-old Penny after she wandered away from their home in Royal City, outside Moses Lake.
Earlier this week, a veterinarian in Pittsburgh found Penny – 2,400 miles from home.
The vet found Penny's story on a social media page the owners set up, and thanks to Penny's tracking chip, found their contact information.
Alaska Airlines even offered to fly Penny home for free.
Penny's owners say they're beyond grateful and that they were overwhelmed by the response they got on social media.
They say their "Bring Penny Home" Facebook page reached more than 25,000 people.

PITTSBURGH -- A Washington family will be reunited with their dog which disappeared from their home earlier this month.
According to WTAE, Penny the dog was surrendered to a Pittsburgh-area veterinarian who discovered the dog was microchipped and registered to a Royal City, Washington family.
"We're just really excited that we will be getting her back," Kendra Brown told WTAE.
Kendra and her husband Colt created a Facebook page called "Bring Penny home for Christmas" after the dog vanished on December 19th.
Someone who saw the Facebook group reported seeing a truck driver take the dog, according to the station. The Browns tracked him down, but he quit returning their calls, Kendra said.
A few days later, the Browns received a call from the vet who identified the dog. Penny was taken to New Hope Vizsla Rescue until she could be returned to her family.
There was an outpouring of support on social media to bring the dog home and Alaska Airlines even offered to fly the dog for free from Washington, D.C.
The Browns said travel arrangements are set and the dog will arrive in Seattle this Friday.
