Crooks break into Post Office boxes twice in one week

GOLD BAR, Wash. -- The Grinch has kept busy in Gold Bar.

Police say crooks may have broken into locked post office boxes in the small town.

Investigators said it happened on Christmas Eve and then again on December 29.

Police found pry marks on the doors and at least 16 post office boxes had been looted. An electric lock is supposed to keep everyone out of the facility after 11 p.m.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies and U.S. postal inspectors are investigating the break-ins.
