Speeding car fires shots at SPD officers, no one hurt

SEATTLE - Seattle Police officers were fired at by a speeding car in South Seattle, but no one was injured, late New Year's Eve. Seattle Police Detective Drew Fowler told Q13 Fox News that officers had responded to a domestic violence call in a residence in the 4200 block of South Eddy Street around 10:30 p.m

As officers were investigating the call, they heard multiple shots being fired outside of the house, Fowler said. Officers exited the house and saw a car speeding toward them, followed by a second car which was firing gun shots at both the first car and in the direction of the officers.

Fortunately, no one was hurt and the car that was firing shots got away, Fowler said. Seattle Police are investigating this shooting incident, as well as the fatal drive-by shooting that happened earlier Wednesday night on South Kenyon Street.
