CONCRETE, Wash. — One person was taken into custody after a man was shot and killed at a New Year’s Eve party near Concrete.

According to Skagit County sheriff’s officials, deputies responded to the report of a shooting around 4:15 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 38800 block of SR 20.

Deputies found a 47-year-old man dead on the property. He was later identified as Allen Kesterson, of the Concrete area.

Officials said a 30-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Skagit County Jail for investigation of 2nd degree murder.
