Mudslide halts passenger train service between Everett and Seattle's King St. station

SEATTLE (AP) — Passenger train service between Everett and Seattle's King Street station will be halted for 48 hours because of a mudslide.

BNSF Railway spokesman Gus Melonas said the slide happened west of Everett about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. He said debris was covering the main track and that crews were working to clear it.

Sound Transit said buses would transport passengers between the two cities.
