Heartwarming Special Delivery: Santa surprises needy families here (VIDEO)

SEATTLE -- The gift of generosity is putting smiles on the faces of kids this holiday season. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus delivered thousands of donated toys to hundreds of children across the Puget Sound.

Each year, The Forgotten Children’s Fund makes a list of less fortunate families. Santa and a team of elves then deliver the presents to their homes just before Christmas.

"This made our Christmas very special, it really did," said one parent.

Throughout the year, volunteers raise money to purchase, wrap, and deliver the gifts. This year, the organization will help close to 800 families.

"Sometimes you walk away crying because of the people that are down and they are looking for a little hand up," said Santa Claus, who has been with the organization since 1976.

Q13 Fox teamed up with Les Schwab Tire Centers to collect toys. The donations were then given to several charities, including The Forgotten Children’s Fund, Toys for Tots and The Christmas House.
